
Grasp:: A simple redesign to an everyday object we often take for granted - paper clip.

Grasp:: Conceived for an international competition, ideation of various concepts was executed based upon the understanding of what may be needed to further innovate the existing product by researching current designs in production and analyzing the workflow and interaction between the user and the object.

Grasp:: A 21st century update to the iconic paper clip, a design that has been left untouched for quite some time. The new version seeks to improve upon its sole function of holding paperwork by implementing a softer, rubberized texture with rounded ends preventing injury to skin, which can occur with the typical metal wire design, as well as minimizing wrinkling and damage to important paperwork.
An elongated loop at the top provides easier handling when removing the paper clip, and allows space for thumbtacks to hold the paperwork on an upright surface such as a corkboard, without putting unnecessary and unsightly holes on the paper itself.
